Students in Principles of Engineering participated in an end-of year project to build a robot that could pull another robot across a line on the floor.   They did this by maximizing the torque (turning force) of their robot by considering factors like weight, friction, and gear ratio. 

After competing in a tournament, team GOAT was declared the winner, however team Lions were able to beat them in a rematch after iterating their robot to increase its grip on the floor.  Team IDK were declared the runner-up after winning the loser's bracket, descibed here here:
