Pursuant to the requirements of N.J.A.C. 6A:30, the Orange Board of Education School District (District) has undergone the New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (NJQSAC) review. The Essex County Executive Superintendent and team conducted a review of the District’s self-assessment on the district performance review (DPR) to verify the District’s compliance with all areas of NJQSAC.

In an article published online in TAPinto.net, nine Orange High School football players on the 2023 Super Football Conference All-Division Teams were recognized: Super Football Conference Patriot Red Honors. An outstanding achievement for these student athletes.

December 2023 Breakfast and Lunch Menus for Orange Preschools, Elementary, Middle, and High Schools
Families can view and download a copy of the December 2023 breakfast and lunch menus here. In addition, hard copies of the menus are available at each school.

The Alibis: A One-Act Murder Mystery Play
We invite the Orange community to the Visual and Performing Arts Fall production of The Alibis: A One-Act Murder Mystery Play. Performances will be held on November 15, 16 and 17 at 6:30 pm and November 18, 1 pm and 5 pm. All performances will take place in the auditorium at Orange Preparatory Academy of Inquiry & Innovation. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Orange Public Schools' Plan for Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Service – 10/30/2023 Update
In the event of a public emergency or a directive by the appropriate health agency to institute a health-related closure, the Superintendent of Schools will consult with the Board of Education before implementing the plan for virtual or remote instruction.

November 14 is celebrated as Ruby Bridges Walk to School day by organizations across the United States. Today, students, parents and staff members across the district joined together on a symbolic walk inspired by the historical experience of Ruby Bridges.

Breakfast in the Classroom - After the Bell 2023-2024

Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT)
P-EBT is a program to help you purchase food for your child(ren) who normally would get free or reduced-price meals at school but couldn't due to reduced school attendance or hours.
New Jersey received P-EBT approval for children under age 6 enrolled in SNAP between September 2022-June 2023 and summer 2023. In addition, summer 2023 P-EBT is approved for students in grades K-12 in the 2022-2023 school year who were eligible for the National School Lunch Program.
