    Summer Chromebook Access

    Dear Orange Family,

As we enter the Summer Break, we would like to remind parents and students of the following Chromebook guidelines. The Chromebook is provided to students for educational purposes only. Only the student assigned to the Chromebook should utilize the device. Playing games, listening to music, and watching movies are considered inappropriate uses of the school device. When using a Chromebook, be sure to keep it in the case, if one was provided. Hold the Chromebook with two hands, and always place it on an even surface to prevent it from falling. Do not eat or drink around the Chromebook, and finally, do not overcharge the device. Any damage incurred to the Chromebook will be the responsibility of the parent or the legal guardian. We encourage you to properly store the device in a secure area when not in use over the summer.  Thank you.

    Dr. Fitzhugh

    Superintendent of Schools

***We will use Go Guardian to make all district devices for all Elementary schools have limited access, only allowing use of Reading Plus, IREADY, IREAD and Office 365.  Students at OPA, OHS and STEM will have full, uninterrupted access to their district devices and are reminded that their devices are solely for their individual use for educational purposes only.

For all elementary schools only, devices will be accessible from 8 am - 5 pm daily for regular use of district platforms.  After 5 pm and weekends, devices will not be accessible.

Additionally, from August 15th - September 2nd, all elementary students will not be able to access their devices.  Full access will be restored on Tuesday, September 6th.
