Mr. Belton
“Hard Work All Day”
Jason A. Belton joined the Orange Public School District in 2009. Prior to this, he taught in the Newark Public School District for six years. Mr. Belton came to Orange High School in the position of Assistant Principal. He stayed in that capacity for three years. In his fourth year in the district, Mr. Belton would become the Principal of The Career and Innovation Academy (C.I.A.O.) . He then returned to Orange High School as Co-Principal and in December 2016, he became sole Principal of Orange High School.
Mr. Belton is a native of Newark, New Jersey and received his Bachelors of Arts degree in History from Rutgers University-Newark. After completing his graduate work, Mr. Belton was awarded the Masters of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from St. Peter’s College located in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Mr. Belton views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students. Partnerships with parents are essential to enriching the experience at OHS. Mr. Belton’s motto is “Hard Work All Day”.
I am honored to serve the Orange community as the faculty, staff parents and the administrative team working together to guide students toward growth, achievement, and fostering youth to become adults of strong character.
During his free time, Mr. Belton enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
