Glass Roots provides our students the opportunity to develop a passion for glass work in our two day work shop Newark, NJ with a unique opportunity to develop their minds and their confidence through the creation of glass art. By teaching our students how to master this tradecraft, we not only reveal their immense creative potential, but also tap the cognitive abilities which can help them with school, work, and life. The Ceramics dept and the Business dept teamed up to have a co-taught experience at the glass roots studio. The goal of the project was to create art that will be sold through virtual business here at the high school. This was such a team effort not only by the students but by the teachers at OHS and the staff at Glass Roots. We made some great art and new friends too.
