• What is a scholarship?

A scholarship is a grant given to a student who is considering attending colleges. Some scholarships are cash prizes.  They cover college tuition and expenses such as books, fees, and housing costs.  Oftentimes, scholarships can be renewed many times to cover several years of schooling.

Why should you apply for scholarships?

Scholarships are a great way to pay for college. Although scholarships may not cover all of your expenses, it is a great way to avoid paying more than necessary. They also make you look like a great candidate for attending a selective college or university. They can also help you get jobs too!

When should you apply for scholarships?

You should apply for scholarships as an 11th grader or 12th grader. HOWEVER, some scholarships don't have an age requirement, so you can apply at any grade.

You should be mindful of due dates for your applications and not wait until the last minute. If you need a teacher to help you with your application, please reach out to him or her! Please give them 2 weeks notice.
