Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the Extended Learning Resource Page. This page was created to provide students working from home with access to assignments, links, assessments, and practice resources. Schools will be completely virtual from September 8 – November 25. Additional information and daily updates can be found on the district’s COVID-19 Resource Page found at https://www.orange.k12.nj.us/domain/3058.
I am looking forward to this school year and my hope is not just to instill love of Mathematics, but to inspire each and everyone to become an enthusiastic learner. I am excited to be a part of your child academic learning experience as well as social emotional support.

My Schedule for the Virtual Learning for the 2020-2021 is as follows:

Students are expected to participate in Virtual Synchronized Learning - Google Meets with their scheduled teachers/subjects from 8:30am to 12:30pm - Participation is MANDATORY AND REFLECTED IN ATTENDANCE FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR!!!!
✓ Identifying a comfortable and quiet space to study/learn
✓ Dedicating appropriate time to learning, as guided by your teachers
✓ Routinely checking appropriate Google Classrooms and emails for information on courses, assignments, and resources, on a daily basis
✓ Engaging in the virtual platforms with academic honesty, integrity, and according to the district’s Acceptable Use Policy
✓ Submitting all assignments in accordance with provided timelines and/or due date
✓ Students are required to be actively online from 8:30-12:30, Monday to Friday
✓ Make sure you have all your supplies (notebooks, pencils..) before the meeting.
✓ Eat a healthy breakfast before 8:30 am.
✓ Don’t be late! Log into the class a few minutes early.
✓ Mute your microphone.
✓ Turn on your camera.
✓ Listen actively and participate in each lesson.
✓ No private/personal comments in the chat. Chat must be focused on the topic.
✓ Communicate respectfully with your peers.
✓ Dress appropriately. No pajamas.
✓ Complete and submit assignments on time.
Below is the outline for Plan B:
September 8 – October 2 (4 weeks) Phase 1: 100% Virtual Learning In Phase 1 all teaching/learning is done virtually/remotely from home and in a scheduled and synchronous format.
October 5 – November 25 (7 weeks) In Phase 2: Remote Synchronous teachers report onsite for 2 days per week providing virtual synchronous instruction within their designated classroom spaces; support staff (guidance, CST, related service providers, social workers, attendance officers), nurses, TC’s, secretaries are onsite 4 days per week. Shared teachers may have an AM/PM schedule. Webcams are used during instruction for at home learners.
November 30 – December 23 (3.5 weeks) In Phase 3: Soft Launch a small percentage of pre-identified students (SWD’s, ELLs, Tier III, etc.) are able to return onsite for live, face to face instruction.
January 4, 2021 – end of year
In Phase 4A, 4B, 4C: Full Reentry, all students report to school following the days and times. These schedules will be staggered to ensure the ongoing health and safety of all staff and students.
