Mr. Robert Osborne

I am a special education teacher with several years' experience.  Prior to joining Park Avenue Elementary, I taught middle school and high school special education in The Bronx.  Therefore, I teach with an eye toward the expectations of middle school, high school and college.  I earned my degree as a Master of Science for Teachers at Pace University in New York City.  Prior to teaching, I practiced law as an attorney for almost twenty years.  I earned a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University, in Boston, MA.  Prior to attending law school, I worked for The Prudential in Newark, NJ.  I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, and I minored in Psychology.

I value education highly, and I believe strongly in the ability of a good education to transform lives and communities, and to promote equity.  I believe everyone is capable of learning to high levels and everyone deserves a good education in a safe, supportive and challenging environment.

Outside of school, I love to sing, to perform and to record music.  I have also done some acting.  I try to bring my love of performing to the classroom to make learning a fun and entertaining experience.
