• Welcome Park Avenue Families! My name is Doreen Cruz-Delgado and I am a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Speech-Language Pathologist at the Park Avenue School as well as member of the Preschool Child Study Team.  I have worked in the Orange Public School District for almost 17 years and have been a member of the Park Avenue family for over 14 years. Prior to working in Orange, I worked 10 years in a Special Education Preschool Program and serviced Early Intervention students in Brooklyn, New York. I am originally from Brooklyn New York, and my family is from Puerto Rico. I moved from New York and currently live in the Poconos. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Brooklyn College and my Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Hunter College. I additionally obtained my Supervision Certification from Grand Canyon University. I hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. I am also certified by the American Hippotherapy Association, as I worked with horses for several years and learned to ride as an adult. I have a 17-year old daughter who is a senior in High School. I love to travel and I am a huge Disney fan! I have worked extensively on the Child Study Team and I participate in I&RS meetings (Intervention and Referral System) at the school which proactively works with parents and staff members to work with struggling students and provide supports to them and their families. I provide speech therapy to the students at Park Avenue and conduct evaluations as needed. I am actively involved with the staff and students at the Park Avenue School!
