Humanities Teacher Spotlight
Where we shine a light on teachers who are demonstrating extraordinary motivation, willingness, and eagerness to meet the needs of our students as they move students towards standards mastery.
-
Mission:
The Humanities are academic disciplines that study aspects of human society and culture. Studying the humanities gives one general knowledge of the world and human interaction. Our goal is to use the study of the Humanities to inspire and teach students how to communicate with others by both critically and creatively engaging with thoughts, ideas, concepts, movements, and worlds. Students gain the capacity for making sound judgments based on valid information and the tools to be effective consumers, writers, and speakers. Overall, our goal is to prepare students for active and meaningful participation in their communities and decision makers for their future.
Vision:
Knowledgeable, empathetic students who are active participants and decision makers in their communities.
