    Orange Public Schools and Omega Psi, Phi Fraternity, Inc., Eta Pi Chapter, are collaborating on an initiative called "Career Conversations," focusing on future career options for students.

     

    Saturday, April 10, 2021 - Career Conversations: "Exploring Careers in Aviation"

    This session will provide students in Grades 5- 12 with an opportunity to meet with and ask questions to seasoned professionals in the "Aviation" field. This is a collaboration with the Black Pilots of America, Alfred E. Forsythe Chapter. Participants will also hear from a high school student who has an aviation license but has not acquired a driver's license yet! High school student participants can earn up to one hour of community service.

    Saturday, April 24, 2021 - Youth Town Hall and Panel Discussion:"Careers in Law Enforcement"

    This program is for students in Grades 9-12. The panelist include: Gerald Fitzhugh, II, Ed.D. (Superintendent of Schools), Ted Green (Mayor, East Orange), Jiles Ship (President, NOBLE NJ), Larry Martin (Captain, East Orange Police Department), Marylin Berrouet (Lieutenant, East Orange Police Department), David C. Miller (Moderator), Leon Smith (Opening Remarks). High school student participants can earn up to one hour of community service.
