    Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Kristin Kenny and I will be your child’s Preschool teacher this year. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about myself both professionally and personally.  This is my thirteenth- year teaching at Oakwood Avenue Community School. I taught Kindergarten for ten years and am exctited to be back in Preschool! Prior to Kindergarten, I taught Preschool at Montclair Child Development Center as well as a Head Start program in Pennsylvania.

I graduated from Kutztown University with a dual certification degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  In my free time, I like to read, cook, shop and spend time with my friends, family and pets!  I also enjoy finding new and exciting ideas to incorporate into my classroom. But most of all, I love teaching!

My mission as your child’s teacher is to help your child reach his/her fullest potential.  I am dedicated to making my classroom a place where your child can feel safe and comfortable to grow and learn.  I will set high expectations for your child’s success and I will work with your child to meet those expectations.

I strongly believe in working with parents as partners in education.  Children are our most valuable asset. Your support and involvement in your child’s academic career will help us create a winning team.

I look forward to meeting you and learning more about you and your child.

    Kristin Kenny
