Dear Oakwood Avenue School Families:
It is hard to believe but it is school time again!!! I am thrilled to welcome you to another exciting and academically enriching school year. I have the belief that by working together we will make this a very successful school year. It is very important that you play an active role in your child’s education.
At Oakwood Avenue Community School we value parent participation, volunteerism and feedback. I encourage you to join the PTO and participate in as many activities and events as possible. Also, mark your calendars for Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. This is an opportunity to meet all of your children’s teachers and learn about the exciting things students will be learning this year. Listed below are a few important items for you to be made aware of:
Unfortunately, and as much as we would like to, and most importantly for safety reasons we are unable to allow parents to enter the building and wait with their child or children until they are escorted to class. We will have numerous teachers and support staff members on hand to safely monitor and direct all students.
I truly consider it an honor and privilege to work with the Oakwood Avenue Community School Family and look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 5:00-7pm.
