• Districtwide Efforts to Improve Access

     

    1. Developoment of  the ESL/Bilingual Strategic Plan that aligns to the NJDOE Multilingual Learner 3-year Plan
    2. Provide Sheltered English training to ESL-supported General Education teachers
    3. Continue with Bilingual Parent Advisory Councils
    4. Ensure access to curriculum in all Bilingual classrooms
    5. Facilitate common planning time for all Bilingual/ESL/General Education teachers in school-based CPTs or districtwide Professional Development sessions
    6. Monitor the participation of all MLL students in advanced courses
    7. Improve monitoring protocols in 100% of the Bilingual classrooms by way of administrative and peer walkthroughs
    8.  Monitor and report MLL and former MLL participation and performance on the following assessments/measures
      1. WIDA
      2. NJSLA
      3. Diagnostic in ELA & Mathematics
      4. Attendance
