Current Offerings for English Language Learners: Full Time Bilingual Education
Full Time Bilingual Education Program: a full day program where students are taught by a bilingual teacher and bilingual paraprofessional (Grade K). All content areas are taught by a bilingual teacher. Students participate in gym, art, music, and lunch with the general population. In this program, students will also receive ESL instruction daily from an ESL certified teacher who pushes into the classroom.
Students receive:
- Instruction in speaking, listening, reading, and writing of the native language of MLs
- Instruction in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English
- Instruction designed to prepare MLs to acquire sufficient English skills and content knowledge to meet the NJSLS
- At least one period of instruction every day by a certified ESL teacher
