OHS Juniors Complete LOT21C Leadership Program

Select Orange High School juniors recently completed the Leaders of the 21st Century (LOT21C) program—a transformative 12-week leadership development experience focused on building college and career readiness skills.

Through weekly workshops led by career professionals, students explored key “Power Skills” including effective communication, personal branding, LinkedIn strategies, as well as time and stress management.

The final workshop was held on April 9th, where students reflected on their biggest takeaways—learning the value of networking, how to strategically request letters of recommendation, and the importance of managing their time wisely.

Each participant received a LOT21C t-shirt, a certificate of completion, and a Dunkin’ gift card in recognition of their commitment!

Looking ahead, OHS juniors will represent the Orange Public Schools District at the Leaders of the 21st Century Youth Symposium on Saturday, May 3rd. This statewide event will include live music, networking opportunities, and sessions on college admissions, interviewing, trade careers, and entrepreneurship.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Dan De Nose and the entire LOT21C team for their leadership, and to OHS Principal Mr. Jason Belton, Assistant Principal Dr. Yoniel Lopez, and Supervisor of Guidance Ms. Felecia Ware for making Dr. Fitzhugh’s vision for LOT21C a reality at OHS. Special appreciation goes to Mr. Nussbaum, whose dedication ensured students were supported throughout the entire program.
