The Orange Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on January 2, 2025, where three board members took their oaths of office, including two re-elected members and one new addition to the board.

 

Mr. David Armstrong and Mr. Siaka Sherif were sworn in for additional terms, while Ms. India Williams, an Orange native and district parent, joined the board as a first-time member. Williams received a warm welcome from her fellow board members.

 

During the meeting, the board also voted to reinstall Ms. Shawneque Johnson as Board President, and Dr. Fatimah Turner, PhD, was elected as Vice President, succeeding Ms. Sueann Gravesande in this leadership role.
