Superintendent Dr. Fitzhugh held his yearly convocation to welcome staff to the 2024 - 2025 school year. Board of Education President Johnson and board members Dr. Turner, Ms. Crockett, Mr. Henry and Mr. Armstrong were in attendance along with Orange Education Foundation members, Mayor Warren, Council President Wooten, Councilwoman Eason, and special guest, Newark City Council President LaMonica McIver.
A great program highlighting student leadership with the Navy JROTC program, featuring the OHS Mighty Marching Tornadoes, and recognizing staff for years of service, and department and school successes. School pride was on full display and it was clear to see that all staff were excited to be back for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
