Currently, there are 9 (nine) BOE members as a Type II district, of the nine members 3 (three) members' seats are due for election/re-election on November 5, 2024

 

The petitions are now available online as outlined below:  

 

 From Essex County Clerk’s Office Website 

 

The filing deadline for petitions is Monday, July 29, 2024. Petitions MUST be returned to the Office of the Essex County Clerk, 495 Martin Luther King Blvd Newark (As the former location of 465 Martin Luther King Blvd has changed to the building next door.)  No later than Monday, July 29, 2024, by 4:00 P.M.
