The Circle of Rainbow Sisters Seeking Spiritual and Wellness Connection (CORESSWC), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is honoring Mr. Glenn Gamble, Orange Preparatory Academy business education/financial literacy teacher, with a Financial Literacy in Education Award, at their 1st virtual Recognition and Appreciation Award Ceremony (RAAC) on Sunday, May 23, 2021, 5 pm to 7 pm.
The Financial Literacy Division of CORESSWC credits Mr. Gamble with bringing requisite skills to their program that complements a school's financial literacy curriculum for teens. Mr. Gamble enhanced their workshops by adding tools such as the Stock Market Game, Flocabulary, and EverFi Certification. As a direct result, the first three students who completed CORESSWC workshops last year earned an A or B in their HS Junior term, 1st marking period's Financial Literacy class. They attributed their success to the added tools and budgeting, savings, goal, and finance needs assessments.
