    Solar Eclipse  

    Solar Eclipse Information from the Orange Public School District's Science Department

    Today marks the first total solar eclipse to be visible to the US mainland since 1979. It will begin on the West Coast just after 10:00 a.m. (PT) and end on the East Coast a little before 3:00 p.m. (ET). For more information and to see the path of totality, visit:

    WOO-HOO! WE DID IT! Orange Township read over one million pages.
    Pat yourselves on the back! Orange Township read over 1 million pages from Thanksgiving to May Day. To be exact, a total of 1,029,591 pages were logged by registered readers. That is AWESOME!

    Winners of the Orange Page Turners Reading Challenge will be announced at the Literacy Block Party on June 2 at Lincoln Avenue School. Be sure to attend and find out who will be crowned the "Most Well Read."

    The March 14 Special Election, to elect  two additional members for the City of Orange Board of Education, has been rescheduled for March 28, 2017. All timing, polling places, voting district assignments and other logistical items are identical to those scheduled for March 14.
