There is much to celebrate, much to accomplish, and, as always, much to be grateful for.
I invite you to take a moment to sit back, relax, and enjoy reading this week’s update from the Office of the Superintendent. Within these pages, you will find highlights of the meaningful work taking place throughout our schools and the many ways our scholars and staff continue to move us forward.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to the success of our scholars and staff. Your support makes a difference, and together, we remain One Orange Strong. In closing, I encourage each of you to have an exceptional weekend; rest, recharge, and embrace every moment on PURPOSE.

Walk, roll, and shine! A huge thank you to all of our amazing Central Elementary School parents, students, and staff who came out to support our Walk & Roll to School event with the Safe Routes to School program!
It was a fantastic morning promoting health, fun, and safe travel practices for our kids! Following the walk, our students and staff gathered for an engaging assembly all about pedestrian safety! Students learned key safety tips, including how to safely cross the street, use crosswalks, and always look both ways before stepping off the curb!
A special shoutout to our dedicated Safety Patrol Team, our fantastic Security Officer Ms. Parrish, and our incredible administrative team, Principal Ms. White and Assistant Principal Ms. Washington, for keeping everyone safe and energized throughout the entire morning! Way to step up for a healthier, safer CES!

Something wonderful is taking root at Oakwood Avenue Community School! Our enthusiastic scholars are rolling up their sleeves and helping bring the school’s newly renovated garden to life alongside our very own Dr. Clark and the dedicated Gardening Club.
As our scholars plant new seeds and nurture their garden beds, they are cultivating so much more than flowers and greenery. They are developing teamwork, responsibility, creativity, and an appreciation for the natural world. This hands-on experience provides meaningful opportunities for our students to learn, collaborate, and witness firsthand how patience, care, and commitment can help something beautiful grow.
From planting seeds to sharing smiles, every moment in the garden reinforces the importance of environmental awareness, community engagement, and learning beyond the classroom. What a wonderful way to create a welcoming space where our scholars can explore, connect, and take pride in their contributions!
A special thank you to Dr. Clark and the Oakwood Gardening Club for helping nurture this initiative and providing our scholars with an opportunity to grow through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
