Hello, and welcome to Orange Preparatory Academy! I greatly look forward to meeting your child and helping him/her learn English/Language Arts skills and explore the world this year.  Previously, I taught 10th, 11th and 12th grade English at Hoboken Charter School.  Prior to that, I taught Freshman and Sophomore English at Union County College. 

This year my hope is that your child's enjoyment of reading and writing increases, along with strong English skills.  Our varied lessons in writing strong essays, understanding literature and information through activities, stories and games will help prepare your child to succeed in high school and beyond. 

I'm the proud mother of two college-aged daughters.  To relax, I enjoy reading, writing, painting and playing tennis.

Materials needed to start the year (due Sept.11):

• One 100 pg. spiral notebook
• One folder to hold papers
• Five pens (blue or black); Five pencils
• Markers or colored pencils
• Box of tissues (we will all share in class throughout the year)
