    Greetings Science Scholars!Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!
         Welcome to your 8th grade "Science Experience!  Your focus this year is learning Physical,  Life, and Earth Science.
    We will be covering several topics using STC, Gizmos - Explore Learning, and  Discovery Education - a technologically enriched program that promotes research to collect evidence supporting knowledge through inquiry. 

    Our goal is to emphasize critical thinking skills and learning through the use of scientific and engineering design processes.  In this class, students will often find themselves reading, writing and completing hands-on laboratory assignments.  Our teaching philosophy incorporates high expectations, hands-on learning instruction, development of scientific inquiry, consistent and critical questioning about the world around us, and the relationship of our learning to our everyday lives.  

    Through cooperative learning, student discourse,and inquiry-based, hands-on activities, a problem- solving mind will be developed and nurtured.
