For The Future Forest Historians

Dear Forest Families, 

It is my privilege to introduce myself and my classroom at the Forest Street Community School. My name is Mr. Greenstein, and I am the Social Studies teacher for the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Rider University in the spring of 2023 and this is my 2nd year teaching. For as long as I can remember I've always had a deep love for history and can’t wait to share my passion with your children. 

My educational philosophy is that the best way to both teach and learn is by doing. Students will be active in my classroom by diligently researching and crafting elaborate projects, physically interacting with artifacts, engaging in civil discussions and debates. In order for this interactive environment to be a successful way to learn, students are required to adhere to classroom norms and expectations, and respect both their peers and teachers. 

You will receive a copy of our classroom rules, which the students will create. I appreciate your support and participation in your child’s education.  Together we can ensure that all students have the best possible experience and opportunity for success this year.
