2020-21 Welcome Back Letter

Dear Families,

Welcome to third grade!  My name is Ms. Romain and together we are going to watch your child learn and grow in so many different ways this year. This year marks my 11th year of teaching, 9 of those years I have taught right here at Forest Street Community School.  I graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and obtained a Master's degree from Caldwell University in Special Education.

In order for your child to reach his or her full potential I am going to need your support.  Please make sure your child arrives at each virtual meeting on time everyday. Students must be well rested and have eaten breakfast.  Breakfast and lunch "grab and go'' meals will be provided at the building every day unless otherwise stated. All instruction is scheduled to take place at 8:30A.M. every day.

Students will be expected to complete classwork and homework when it is assigned. Students will be responsible for organizing their assignments on a daily basis. Assignments will also be available on my webpage. All homework assignments must be completed by due dates given.

I hold very high expectations for my students. They are: always to try their best and never give up. I will not allow them to waste any of their learning time, because one day they are ALL going to be something great!  Any further information such as a special schedule and class supply list will be available on my webpage should you need it. If there are any changes to the schedule I will be sure to let you know as I am informed of the changes. Thank you!  I am looking forward to an awesome school year!

Although this school year is going to look a lot different then previous years, we will make the best of it. I will be available to provide as much support as I can during this school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email romainfr@orange.k12.nj.us or classdojo.

Educationally yours,

Ms. Romain
