Welcome Parents !

My name is Mr. Chris, and I am excited to be your child’s second grade teacher this year. I would like to start off by introducing myself. I grew up with 5 siblings. I have a dog named Lazarus and we love to go on long walks. I went to Saint Peter’s University and studied Communication & Business Marketing. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, even throughout college. I worked as a paraprofessional, then as a substitute. I decided to enroll in an Alternate Route program at Rutgers University to help begin my teaching process.

There are so many fun activities through learning that we are going to do this year. This will be an incredible year of change. You will be excited as you watch your child become readers, problem solvers, scientists, mathematicians, responsible and respectful students. There will be many milestones we achieve together and even more individually. 

As we learn throughout this school year, I would like you to know we will be using technology. Students can access my Google Classroom using their Chromebooks to find out about classwork, homework, and any announcements that we may have for our class. I am also set up on Clever. Students are automatically  enrolled, and they have access to our HMH workbook, Science workbook, iReady, and  Xtramath account.
