MEET THE TEACHER

Hello! I'm Ms. Thorpe and I am so pleased to be able to work with you / your children during this school year and play an active role in their next educational milestones. This is my 7th year teaching as a special education teacher, earning and receiving my bachelor's degree at Seton Hall University. Go Pirates!!! I am currently teaching 5th grade Self-Contained in the subjects of Math, English - Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. I wholeheartedly believe that students are most successful when there is a teacher-student relationship, which is why communication is so important to me and I strive to keep you up to date. I absolutely love teaching and hope my light shines through to you during our time together. Please know that the students, their well-being and their education are very important to me, as well as creating an environment that enhances their growth irrespective of their learning orientation. I look forward to an amazing, fun and successful school year, learning and growing with you!!!
