    Mrs. Edwards

     

    My name is Mrs. Edwards and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year. This is my 13th year teaching in the Orange School district, and I am very eager to get to know more about you and your child.

    I anticipate a very enjoyable and successful year here at John Robert Lewis Early Childhood Center. I have planned many creative and innovative activities for your child; to foster social emotional skills and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning by nurturing, scaffolding and motivating their unique abilities to enhance their academic development. I'm lucky enough to have Mrs. Scott as the paraprofessional in our class.  She is a wonderful asset to your child's year of learning in Preschool!  

    It is my belief that close cooperation and communication between the home and school is essential to promote the best interest in the child.  I encourage all parents to get involved in their child’s education by visiting our school, attending meetings, taking part in school activities, making home a learning place, being a positive influence, and volunteering time. For it takes a whole village to raise a child, and mutual benefits accrue when there is meaningful exchange of information between home and school.
