Orange Public Schools Joins Verizon Innovative Learning
Orange Public Schools joins Verizon Innovative Learning, Verizon's award-winning education initiative, in partnership with Digital Promise. Orange High School, Oakwood Avenue Community School, and Orange Preparatory Academy of Inquiry and Innovation are among the 32 new schools joining the 10th cohort of Verizon Innovative Learning Schools for the 2023-2024 SY.

District Professional Development Plan 2022-2023
The Orange Public School District, under New Jersey Administrative Code (NJAC 6A: 9C-4.2(b)6), has certified to the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) compliance with the state’s requirements for the school district professional development plan (PDP). This plan was board approved in June 2022.

The 6th Annual Parent Conference
In collaboration with community partners, Orange Public Schools present the 6th Annual Parent Conference, "Reignite the Village," Saturday, March 18, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, at Lincoln Avenue School. Join us for workshops on Early Childhood Learning, Social-Emotional Health, Special Education, English Language Arts, and a Session for Fathers. Childcare and lunch will be provided.

2023-2024 V.I.P. Preschool Registration
District families with a child currently enrolled in a District school, verified by Genesis, can register during Preschool V.I.P. Registration on March 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2023. Children 3 years old on or before October 1st, 2023, are eligible for enrollment.

New Jersey Association for College Admissions Counseling (NJACAC) Hosts College Key North 2023
The College Key North 2023 event at Bloomfield College is on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM. the New Jersey Association for College Admissions Counseling sponsors the event for underrepresented families with students in Grades 10 and 11.

February Preschool Registration for the 2022 - 2023 School Year
In-Person and Virtual Preschool Registration for the 2022 - 2023 school year will take place on Tuesdays, February 7, February 14, and 28, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, at the Orange Early Childhood Center, 397 Park Avenue. Online registration is available via the Preschool registration portal during those times.

Boys to Men Brunch at Lincoln Avenue School
On January 27, Lincoln Avenue School held an uplifting forum, Boys to Men Brunch, for male students, bringing together district staff, parents, and respected community members, including members of the Orange Fire and Police departments and city council. See the Essex News Daily article, which appeared in the Record-Transcript.

Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT)
P-EBT is a program to help you purchase food for your child(ren) who normally would get free or reduced-price meals at school but couldn't due to reduced school attendance or hours.
New Jersey received P-EBT approval for children under age 6 enrolled in SNAP between September 2021-June 2022 and summer 2022. In addition, summer 2022 P-EBT is approved for students in grades K-12 in the 2021-2022 school year who were eligible for the National School Lunch Program.
