Orange High School and Orange Preparatory Academy Performing Arts Department Presents The Complete History of America-Abridged
Orange, NJ (November 2017) – 600 years of history in 6000 seconds … history will never be the same! The Visual and Performing Arts Department of Orange High School (OHS), in association with Orange Preparatory Academy (OPA), proudly presents The Complete History of America-(Abridged). Join us as we leave no joke untold, deconstructing the sidesplitting quagmire that is American History! Come and observe while our cast tackles controversial issues such as: Who really discovered America? Why did Abe Lincoln free the slaves? How many Democrats does it take to screw in a light bulb? Come and see a different spin on history.
Performances are December 7th, 8th, and 9th: Thursday and Friday at 7:00 pm and two Saturday shows with a 2:00 pm matinee and 7:00 pm final performance.
Ms. Dana Levin, OHS drama instructor, is excited about the opportunity to direct Adam Long’s, The Complete History of America-Abridged. Most recently, Ms. Levin directed the OHS/OPA production of The Odd Couple. She has also previously directed The Wiz, Twelve Angry Men, Aida, Sherlock Holmes Grease, The Great Gatsby, and Little Shop of Horrors. She also serves as the advisor of the OHS chapter of the International Thespian Society, as well as directing the OHS Drama Showcase. Ms. Levin states, “I’ve really enjoyed working with this talented cast and crew. Everyone has worked so hard and it will definitely be evident in the final production.”
