My name is Guilherme Bertran Araujo, but students refer to me as Mr. A.
I am an ESL support staff member for Rosa Parks Community School. I received my Bachelor’s in Linguistics, and my Masters in Teaching from Montclair State University; only 20 minutes outside of the City of Orange. I am born and raised in New Jersey by Brazilian immigrant parents and have been seeking my place to be an active role model for my community. I chose teaching because I want to provide the best experience possible to the future citizens of our city. I want all my students to leave each year better prepared and motivated to become amazing scholars, and members of their community.
What I do at RPCS is specific. My role is to be an involved support for foreign born students who are just arriving to the United States by assisting them with acclimating to their new environment, and providing catered instruction to help progress their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills using English as the language medium in the classroom. My goal for student success is to prepare my students to learn a variety of subjects that are expected to be taught and evaluated in English, by supporting them through language instruction that will teach, test, and improve their English language skills. I work with a dedicated team of professionals who work tirelessly to provide the best possible education for our students.

You can find me for office hours on google classroom on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 1:50pm - 3:20, or simply reach out through email to ask questions, or address concerns.
