Educational Biology Resources
I love teaching and love science and am so happy to a part of the Biology department here in Orange teaching 9th grade at Orange Prep Academy. Before Orange I taught Biology at Point Pleasant Borough High School as well as Toms River High School East. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Monmouth University and my Master of Arts in Education degree from Georgian Court University. I am a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and have a K-12 Biology teaching certification as well as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement.
One of my passions is space science; so much so that my master's thesis was focused on integrating Mars exploration into the high school biology classroom. One of the goals within my Biology class is to incorporate the current events of the new space age in the biology curriculum in order to make our class that much more relatable and memorable for students.
I am excited to share my passion for education and my enthusiam for being a science nerd every day with my students and hope that my energy ignites a desire in them to inquire and explore. I have no doubt we will have a wonderful year!
