Welcome back to a new school year.2019/2020 I expect everyone had a great summer.

My name is Mr. Rodriguez and I will be your Spanish teacher for 8th and 9th grade.

Hola! Welcome to our Spanish class! I'm excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I'm looking forward to a happy and productive school year. Spanish class is a great opportunity to interact with others and learn! This class will give your child the opportunity to develop skills in the four domains of language: Listening Comprehension, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. We will do group work, partner work and individual work to help the students develop their Spanish skills. We will look at the Hispanic culture and civilizations through elected readings, videos, and discussions

My objective is to develop in linguistic and cultural proficiency in Spanish and acquire academic skills throughout the use of  Spanish activities. When learning a foreign language, please keep in mind the following skills that will be developed throughout the term:

              1) Oral communication skills       3) reading comprehension skills
              2) Writing skills                 4) listen skills

    1) Participation (class work and preparation)
    2) Various quizzes and test
