Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the Extended Learning Resource Page. This page was created to provide students working from home with access to assignments, links, assessments, and practice resources for Spanish class under the direction of Mr. Agosto, replacement teacher for Mr. Rodriguez. Mr. Agosto will monitor student assignments and grade student’s work. He will be accessible to students during posted office hours below.

General Student Expectations
Student responsibilities in completing the assignments include:
- Identifying a comfortable and quiet space to study/learn
- Dedicating appropriate time to learning, as guided by your teachers
- Routinely checking appropriate Google Classrooms and emails for information on courses,
assignments, and resources, on a daily basis
- Attending and participating in any check-in times offered by your teachers
- Engaging in the virtual platforms with academic honesty, integrity, and according to the district’s Acceptable Use Policy
- Submitting all assignments in accordance with provided timelines and/or due dates

Welcome back to a new school year.2019/2020 I expect everyone had a great summer.My name is Mr. Rodriguez and I will be your Spanish teacher for 8th and 9th grade.
Hola! Welcome to our Spanish class! I'm excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I'm looking forward to a happy and productive school year. Spanish class is a great opportunity to interact with others and learn! This class will give your child the opportunity to develop skills in the four domains of language: Listening Comprehension, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. We will do group work, partner work and individual work to help the students develop their Spanish skills. We will look at the Hispanic culture and civilizations through elected readings, videos, and discussions
My objective is to develop in linguistic and cultural proficiency in Spanish and acquire academic skills throughout the use of Spanish activities. When learning a foreign language, please keep in mind the following skills that will be developed throughout the term:
1) Oral communication skills 3) reading comprehension skills
2) Writing skills 4) listen skills______________________________________________________________________________
Classroom participation is 100% of a student's grade. In the event that an absence is unavoidable, it is the students responsibility to complete and/or make-up any missed work.
The grade for each marking period will be based on the following criteria:
1) Participation (class work and preparation)
2) Various quizzes and test
3) Written homework and assignments
