Mr. Thomas Schepis

Mr. Thomas Schepis was a scholarship student of NYU’s Piano Perfomance program. While graduating with high honors and receiving the Founder’s Day Award, he studied under Dr. William Entriken,  Dr. Fabio Gardenal, and Dr. Gregor  Haimovsky, a world renowned Debussy interpreter. Among his perfor mance credentials are the 5th Ave  Presbyterian church in Manhattan,  The Tenri Cultural Institute, Steinway  Hall, Frederick Lowe Theater, The Lee  Strasburg Theater, and Merkin Con cert Hall at Lincoln Center. Thomas is going on his 16th year as a New Jersey State Certified Music Teacher, and teaches music full time Park Avenue Elementary School in Orange, NJ. As a music teacher, Mr. Schepis specializes in the Alexander Technique, incorporates technology into his lessons as well as components of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). In addition to teaching, he currently holds a position as the principal Organist At Free Union Vienna United Methodist Church.  In his free time, Mr. Schepis enjoys hiking, playing guitar, meditating, snowboarding, and skateboarding.
