    Monday, March 23rd 

    We Have Dance Today! Remember to Check Ms. Barrow’s school page for your dance assignment! 

    Literacy: Watch our new book if you need to review it! Butterfly is Patient. Then answer this question using text evidence right on Class Dojo Portfolios!: How is a butterfly protective?     Math: Today we will solve problem problems using data from a bar graph! Watch Module 7 Lesson 5 and complete Lesson 5 Problem Set / Exit Ticket → Lesson 5 Document. Take a picture of your work and send it to me on Class Dojo! Complete at least 10 minutes of iReady. Extension Activity: Lesson 5 Homework

    Social Studies: Log into your Pearson Account and complete the Rosa Parks assignment assigned to you. Make sure to press submit so I can see you have completed your assignment. 

    Science: Ask your parent for help with this liquid experiment! Pour water into a water bottle. Seal it tight. Turn the bottle to the side, upside down, and around. What do you notice about the water level? No matter which way you turn the bottle what happens to the water level? Write your answer in Dojo or send a picture through Dojo! 


    Tuesday, March 24th 

    We have Gym today! Remember to check Ms. McKenna’s school page for your gym assignment! 

    Literacy: Watch our new book if you need to review it from yesterday! Butterfly is Patient. Remember to submit your work by typing your answer or taking a picture and sending it through Class Dojo! Complete at least 10 minutes of iRead/Reading Plus.     Math: We finished Topic A of Module 6! Take this Quiz Topic A Quiz to show what you’ve learned! You can either print it and take a picture or copy your answers onto a piece of paper! Remember to take your time and try your best! Don’t forget to take a picture and send it to me on Class Dojo! Complete 10 minutes of iReady. 

    Social Studies: Log into your Pearson Account and complete the Introduction: Heroes in Science assignment assigned to you. Make sure to press submit so I can see you have completed your assignment.  

    Science: Log in to FOSS using the link above, (username: werbler password: science2) Click on Falling Bottle Puzzle and complete the game! Answer in Dojo Portfolios how you liked the puzzle.


    Wednesday, March 25th

    We have Library today! Remember to check Ms. Martelli’s school page for your library assignment! 

    Literacy: Look at all your responses throughout the week for the different characteristics of a butterfly.  You can also use my chart that I have created and uploaded Butterfly Characteristics. Today is your prewrite day! Here is your Culminating Task for Butterfly is Patient: 

    Over the past week, we have identified many characteristics of a butterfly. Today, I want you to pick two characteristics of a butterfly that you think are important. Then, write a paragraph with at least five sentences describing the characteristics of the butterfly you selected. Use evidence from the text and the chart below to explain why your butterfly’s characteristics are important.

    Ask an adult to help you read over the task and start planning out what you will write for tomorrow’s final copy! Remember this is graded like a test so try your best to write a nice juicy paragraph!

    Math: Today we start Topic B! We will learn the value of coins and count up to find their total value.     Thursday March 26th

    We have Music today! Remember to check Ms. Ossai’s school page for your music assignment! 

    Literacy: Yesterday you started to prewrite your culminating task. Today we will make sure that our final copy is ready to be graded! If you started yesterday look it over. Did you start sentences with a capital? Did you end sentences with punctuation? Did you write neatly and try your best to spell words correctly? Did you use evidence from the text, my chart, and your notes to help you? 

    Culminating Task for Butterfly is Patient: Over the past week, we have identified many characteristics of a butterfly. Today, I want you to pick two characteristics of a butterfly that you think are important. Then, write a paragraph with at least five sentences describing the characteristics of the butterfly you selected. Use evidence from the text and the chart below to explain why your butterfly’s characteristics are important.

    Friday March 27th 

    We have Computer Literacy & Art today! Remember to check Ms. Berrio’s and Ms. Algarin’s school page for your computer literacy and art assignments! 

    Literacy: Great job working hard on your culminating tasks yesterday! Let’s finish out this week strong and move up on iRead! Please complete 15 minutes of iRead! Then start our next story, by watching it on YouTube! The Keeping Quilt. Write a response on paper or on Dojo Portfolios by answering: Is this text fiction or nonfiction? How do you know? Also, let me know how you enjoyed the story! 

    Math: Today we will solve word problems involving the total value of a group of bills. Watch Module 6 Lesson 8 and complete Lesson 8 Problem Set / Exit Ticket  --> Lesson 8 Document. Take a picture of your work and send it to me on Class Dojo! Complete at least 10 minutes of iReady. Extension Video: Brain Pop Jr Dollars & Cents Extension Activity: Lesson 8 Homework
