• Ms. Ellerbe’s 7th Grade Science Policy and Procedures 2019-2020

    Ms. Kyanna L. Ellerbe

    Rosa Parks Community School

369 Main St. Orange, NJ 07050

Class Description: The focus of the grade-seven science standards is on providing students with the hands-on experiences that give them the active engagement and the concrete examples they require to understand basic science concepts. The development of seventh graders’ science skills culminates with their designing an entire controlled scientific investigation, constructing explanations and drawing conclusions from data, and generating questions for further study.

    Required Materials:

    • 1-inch Binder
    • Pocket Folder

Attendance and Tardiness: We will follow the school’s policies concerning attendance. In my class there are two ways that you can be tardy:

    1. Not being in your seat when attendance is taken
    2. Not participating in the starter (either because you are unprepared or because you choose not to)

Tardiness and unexcused absences will contribute to a lower participation grade in my class. It is the responsibility of the student to make up any work that is missed during their absence.
